VERTICES FROM B&L ASSOCIATES SUPPORTS MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 7.0
NEEDHAM, Mass. - August 3, 1999 -- B&L Associates, Inc., a leading provider of computer media management solutions, today announced that Vertices®, its comprehensive, enterprise-wide media management system, now runs with Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0. This enables Vertices to leverage the features and capabilities offered by the latest version of Microsoft's Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
Vertices, a Windows NT software package, applies sophisticated enterprise-wide media management to help control the mountains of removable physical media such as magnetic tape, disk, CD-ROM, Digital Linear Tape (DLT), and other media that are generated by today's distributed systems. Vertices manages media from any source, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows NT and UNIX, as well as from traditional mainframe environments such as IBM and Unisys. It supports enterprise-level "glass house" operations and Storage Area Networks (SANs), as well as all other corporate environments.
